This is Therese’s first year coaching for Apex NW and she’s so excited to be back in the game! She is currently attending Bellingham Technical College pursuing a degree in Dental Hygiene. She moved to Bellingham six years ago and she fell in love with the area. Originally from Eastern Washington, Therese played volleyball throughout middle school and high school, but was involved in the game since she was little watching her older cousins play! Her playing experience involved both club for six years and a two year varsity player. Therese also volunteer coached children ages 4th-8th grade at her high school on the weekends with her varsity team and focused on the middle blockers and hitters. She spent two years as a before and after school care counselor for the Whatcom YMCA at Skyline Elementary in Ferndale.
Other than playing volleyball, Therese enjoys hiking, baking, and spending time with her fiancé. She also visits her hometown of Walla Walla to help out at her old volleyball team’s practices! Therese believes that the key to volleyball is connecting and creating strong bonds between players and coaches - to play well you need to love the game and enjoy being with your teammates.
“I’m so excited to start my coaching career at Apex NW! I hope to have a memorable season and I’m thrilled to get to know all the players and coaches! Go Apex!”
