Shelby is in her first season coaching and brings a lifelong love for volleyball, education, and mentoring young athletes. She started playing competitive volleyball at 12, spending her teen years competing year-round in grass, beach, and club seasons. After high school, she continued playing recreationally while earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Western Washington University. Shelby is now completing her Master’s in Special Education at Western Governors University with plans to become a full-time special education teacher. Her work with youth has helped shape her coaching approach — focused on patience, positivity, and helping each player grow both on and off the court.
After recently beating cancer, Shelby approaches every season and every challenge with gratitude and determination. She’s passionate about creating a fun, inclusive, and encouraging space where players can build confidence, learn, and discover their own love for the sport.
“I’m so excited to start this season with our U12 athletes! Volleyball has always been such a big part of my life, and I can’t wait to help these players grow, compete, and have fun along the way.”
