This is Sarah’s first season coaching with Apex, and she is super excited! She will be graduating from Western Washington University in spring of 2022 with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Next year Sarah hopes to continue her academic career in graduate school to get a degree in Speech Language Pathology, eventually leading to a career as a speech therapist in an elementary setting. She currently works on campus at WWU in the Digital Media Center and as a part of the live streaming crew for WWU Volleyball and Basketball.
Sarah started playing recreational volleyball in the fourth grade and fell in love with the sport. She continued to play volleyball through junior high, where she was introduced to club volleyball. She played club volleyball for five years at OPVBC and Washington Elite, and varsity volleyball for four years at South Kitsap High School, serving as captain for her senior season. Sarah believes that volleyball taught her many life lessons in teamwork, dedication, time management, and communication. She is thrilled to get the opportunity to share her passion for the sport and help players grow.
“I am so excited to begin my coaching journey! Some of my favorite memories come from playing club volleyball! I look forward to the opportunity to meet everyone and grow together as a team!”
