Kelsey Swapp

Kelsey was born and raised in Marysville, WA. From 1998–2000, she played basketball and volleyball at Skagit Valley College, where she was named Female Athlete of the Year in 2000. She then continued her volleyball career at Pacific University in Forest Grove while finishing her teaching degree in 2002. The following year, she completed her master’s degree and coached JV volleyball in a nearby town.

After earning her master’s degree, Kelsey moved to Skagit Valley, where she coached volleyball at Skagit Valley College and taught in both Stanwood and Mount Vernon. During her time coaching at SVC, she was named Coach of the Year for the northern region, and she also coached for the Stanwood and Skagit Volleyball Clubs. She coached at SVC for six years before moving on to coach at Anacortes High School in 2010. She continued coaching club volleyball for her daughter Tatum’s teams through SIVA. Kelsey took a few years off from coaching at Anacortes High School and then returned for eight more seasons. She officially retired from high school volleyball in 2024.

Kelsey lives and teaches in Anacortes with her husband and three children.
