Danielle grew up in Bellingham, Washington, where her passion for volleyball began in middle school, encouraged by her longtime basketball teammates to try out a new sport. Her love for the sport grew exponentially as she continued onto play for Sehome High School, competing in three consecutive State Tournament appearances. She transitioned her high school success to the collegiate level and began her career at Whatcom Community College for two years. She continued her education in teaching and human development, while playing volleyball for three more years at Warner Pacific University.
Danielle began coaching in high school at her alma mater Assumption Catholic School's middle school program. Coaching their one team of combined 6th, 7th, and 8th graders for four years. She then went on to coach U14 club volleyball for two years at Whatcom Elite Volleyball Academy. In 2016, Danielle moved to Portland, OR and continued coaching at the U18s level. Upon her return to Bellingham in 2019, she started coaching high school leading C-teams, JV-teams, and assisting Varsity squads to three state tournaments.
With a coaching tenure spanning 15 years, Danielle has developed a unique ability to connect with and mentor players across all stages of development. This diverse background has equipped her with a full spectrum of coaching techniques, allowing her to emphasize fundamentals for beginners and honing advanced strategic play for elite athletes.
