Gage is entering his 2nd year of coaching after playing three years of club volleyball for Apex NW. He graduated from Ferndale high school, where he also played two years of varsity soccer and club soccer with Rangers. Gage currently is working at Washington Refinery Services.
Gage was part of the first boy’s volleyball team after trying out his sophomore year. His love for the sport started in the backyard and playing with his friends all summer before looking into something more competitive. Volleyball brought more opportunities and memories as his experience included attending three USAV Junior National Championship tournaments, earning third, fifth, and first place in 2024. His favorite memories are winning the National Championship his senior year with his teammates that became best friends, traveling to tournaments, and making new friendships.
As a coach, Gage strives to create a supportive environment where learning from mistakes, taking risks, promoting positivity, and fostering a safe place to learn are important. He is excited to pass on his knowledge to the next group of boys and coach the sport he love.
“I am excited to start my coaching career and share my passion for volleyball with the next younger generation. Volleyball has made me who I am today and I’m beyond grateful that I get to coach the sport I love at Apex!”
