Clayton Sin

U15 BOYS ASCENT HEAD COACH / CLUB DIRECTOR

Clayton is entering his 14th year of coaching and 10th year in the role of Club Director. He graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in English with a Secondary Emphasis and a Masters in Teaching. Clayton is currently an 8th grade Language Arts teacher at Fairhaven Middle School.

Clayton played club volleyball with the WWU Men’s Volleyball Club in 2010 and brought back the club for the 2014-16 seasons and while at Western, he assisted the WWU Women’s Volleyball Club for seven years and volunteered two seasons as a head coach for the Ferndale Boys and Girls Club. Clayton is in his 4th year as the varsity volleyball head coach of Sehome High School and 6th year as the volleyball head coach of Fairhaven Middle School.

Clayton strives to develop strong relationships with athletes through instilling confidence and competitiveness. 

  • 2021-2022: 3rd Place at the USAV Boys Junior National Championships 16 Club Division
  • 2022-2023: U17 Boys Ascent team earned our club's first bid to Nationals at the SCVA Junior Boys Invitational in Anaheim, CA & 5th Place at the USAV Boys Junior National Championships 17 USA Division
  • 2023: Clayton was named Coach of the Year in the prestigious Northwest Conference for high school volleyball.
  • 2023-2024: 1st Place at the USAV Boys Junior National Championships 18 USA Division
  • In the last five years of coaching boys volleyball, Clayton has complied a record of 217-49, 14 1st place finishes at tournaments, and 29 top 3 finishes overall.
