We are excited to welcome back Megan Casey to her second year with Apex NW! Megan started playing volleyball when she was eight years old in a grass league and continued to play almost every year since! She began her playing time with Sehome’s club team in eighth grade and was part of creating Lightning Volleyball Club when she started high school at Squalicum. Whether it’s playing, watching, coaching, or refereeing, volleyball has always been a huge part of Megan's life. After graduating from Squalicum, she went to the University of San Diego where she played beach and intramural volleyball for three and a half years while studying physics. Megan then decided to change her course of study where she transferred to Western Washington University and graduated with her degree in accounting in 2021. Megan started playing in an adult league and realized that she wanted volleyball to have a bigger role in her life. Last season she was an LYS coach for fourth and fifth graders. Megan also is the current c-team coach at Nooksack Valley High School!
"I am so excited to be back with Apex this season! With the various levels that I’ve played in, I’m hoping to share my passion of volleyball and teach others how coming together as a team, hard work, and remembering to have fun can help you succeed both on and off the court!"
