Marina Alber

U13 Elevate Head Coach

This will be Marina’s 5th year coaching but her second year coaching with us at Apex NW. After she graduated high school, Marina had the opportunities to play at the Community College and University level. During her freshman season, she and her team won the Northwest Athletic Conference Volleyball championships and sophomore year she was awarded with an All-Star award from her conference. After graduating from Everett Community College with an Associates in Arts and Science, she then coached at Everett Community for two years as an assistant coach. After those two years of coaching, Marina accepted a scholarship to continue her Bachelors degree and play Beach Volleyball at Corban University in Oregon.  Along with college playing and coaching experience she also has 4fouryears of club coaching experience as assistant, head coach, and setting coach positions.

Part of Marina’s identity is also being an Alaska commercial fisherman. She’s grown up in fishing ever since she was born. She travels to Alaska during the summer to work for her father and then comes back to live her winter’s in Washington state. Volleyball has been a part of her life for 10 years and she is super excited to guide and share her knowledge and passion for the game with players. She believes mastering the basic fundamentals is the key to helping players thrive and flourish to their full potential.

"I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to coach with Apex for a second year. I am very excited to start this season and help our athletes grow their knowledge and love for this amazing game!”
