This is Kacey’s first season coaching at Apex NW and he can’t wait to get on the court and share his passion of volleyball to future athletes. Currently, Kacey is a junior at Western Washington University, studying Kinesiology with dreams of being a sports medicine trainer. After graduating, he plans to continue pursuing coaching, striving for more understanding of sports and the body. Coming from a family of coaches, he decided to pursue the art of teaching sports. Kacey spends his free time as a coach for high school gymnastics and parkour, he also is a track and field athlete for Western Washington University.
Kacey was a former gymnast when he stumbled upon the game of volleyball six years ago, which left a big positive impact on his life, since then he hasn’t looked back. He played club and at open gym all throughout high school and into his time at Western. His favorite memory of volleyball was learning how to hit with his friends. Kacey believes that a positive, friendly environment helps improve athletes' mental and physical skills, on and off the court.
“I am so excited for this opportunity, and I can’t wait to finally work with athletes and coach the sport that I have so much passion for. Let's go Apex!”
