Hope grew up in Bellingham Washington. She played volleyball, basketball and golf in high school. Growing up in a very sports oriented family, she found her love for sports early. She had siblings who also played multiple sports and parents who were in adult leagues. Thus she had a very active and busy childhood. Most weekends spent on the court or the field.
Hope has been playing volleyball for 13 years and brings a deep love for the game to every team she coaches. She began her volleyball journey at Ferndale Volleyball Club playing U12 and finished her club career with APEX NW during her U18 season. Hope went on to play collegiately at Lasell University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Coaching. She got to move across the country to do this which was out of her comfort zone but she is so glad she chose to go!
While in college, she coached for three years with Boston UVC, developing young athletes and sharing her passion for the sport. She coached ages 13-17 and got to experience the difference of club tournaments over on the east coast! Hope loves helping players grow not only in their volleyball skills but also in their confidence, teamwork, and life skills—values she believes extend far beyond the court. Her favorite part of coaching on the east coast has been seeing the curiosity and eagerness to learn from young athletes. Seeing a player ask questions and integrate feedback into their play was very fulfilling! She’s excited to bring her experience, energy, and positivity to the team this season.
“I am super excited to be back in Bellingham coaching where I grew up playing and found my love for the sport! Triangles up!”
