About Apex NW Volleyball Club

Apex NW Volleyball Club is a non-profit 501(C)(3) that has practice facilities in Bellingham, Lynden and Ferndale, Washington and offers opportunities in learning volleyball skills and competitive play for girls ages 10-18. A large part of our goal involves building an inclusive volleyball program and community that desires to further the love for the game. We welcome athletes from all over to come and join Apex NW Volleyball Club as we continue to grow, travel to competitive tournaments, and provide opportunities for athletes to play club volleyball. We emphasize playing in a positive nurturing environment, teaching the concepts of teamwork, sportsmanship and having fun. Our goal is to support Apex NW athletes in reaching their goal of playing at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels.

 

Position Overview

As our Social Media Manager, you’ll work to create engaging content that showcases our 15 teams, highlights game and practice moments, events and connects us with fans and the local community.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a monthly social media strategy tailored for Instagram and TikTok.
  • Create and edit dynamic video and photo content, including but not limited to highlights, behind-the-scenes, and player features.
  • Engage with followers through comments, messages, and trends to grow our online community.
  • Monitor analytics to track growth and optimize content for maximum reach and engagement.
  • Stay updated on social media trends to ensure our content is fresh and relevant.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year  experience managing a business social media account
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Experience in video editing, graphic design, and content creation
  • Strong understanding of volleyball culture and trends (preferred but not required).
  • Creative, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

 

Compensation

  • 10-Month Contract beginning Dec 2024
  • Part Time: $20/hour at 15 hours a month 
  • Remote position
